We are turning into AWESOME authors!

We have been reading some excellent books that show us what great authors look and sound like!  Here are some things we have learned:

•  Authors let their imaginations go wild, like in Spilt Milk.
• Authors use lots of details to help readers understand the story and any new words, like in The Sneetches.
• Authors have fun things to share about themselves that make good stories, like in My Map Book.
• Authors do not need to have everything perfect right away, like in Ish.

Now that we know what it means to be a great author, we get our own personal Author's Notebook for our stories.  Let the writing begin!!
